Oh goodness, friends, should we just start with how amazing I think these two are? Meet Andrew + Ellen (and their little guy!) They are such troopers, easy-going, trusting (of me and my vision) and up for anything. They also drove a great distance on a weekday evening for this session and then proceeded to turn on the magic despite the heat + humidity. Yet again, I have the best clients!

I will be celebrating alongside Andrew + Ellen in just about a week’s time as they tie the knot. It’s been so great getting to know them; Ellen and I seem to have a lot in common, including our desire to NOT have all eyes on us! 🙈  This is one of the reasons they quickly realized a First Look could be just the right thing for them; among other benefits, it greatly reduces the pre-ceremony nerves and jitters (speaking from experience). I know they’ll have no regrets about it, especially with all of the extra bride + groom portraits that come with a First Look!

Ah, I digress– let’s get back to the present! I hope you enjoy some highlights I picked out from their engagement session!

Okay, serious favorite right here… can we just get this as a panel of wall paper please? When that gorgeous, golden sun streaks through the leaves and ignites a halo around your subject with glorious, ethereal light… you just can’t help but get giddy. And giddy I was; but you know I played it cool behind that camera. Well, at least I tried! 😅
