Oh friends, what an adventure I had with these two! A waterfall session!?… pinch me! This setting was so perfect for Ryan + Chelsea. They joked that on most days of the week they’re outdoors (pretty sure that wasn’t actually a joke though). Ryan proposed to Chelsea while on a waterfall hike. Out in nature is where they feel most like themselves, so what better way to celebrate their engagement than to dance and splash among the waterfalls? (sigh)

We chatted through emails and had a virtual meeting as well, where Chelsea described themselves as colorful, goofy, and quick to laugh; I found all of those qualities to be true (I’d say quirky rather than goofy!), but upon meeting them in person I was overwhelmed by their kindness and joy for life. It absolutely bubbles over. The love they have for each other made my job so easy. They were all-in on this session and so was I! What beautiful memories we were able to create together. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for their fun and oh-so-colorful big day next year.

At one point, while I was switching lenses, I noticed Ryan + Chelsea doing a “secret handshake.” I said, “Excuse me, let’s just go ahead and restart that!” How cute are these two?! I was highly impressed with how long and elaborate the sequence was! ♥️
